(ProQuest) - Business and management database providing extensive coverage of North America and internationally. Full text of 600+ journals, cumulative indexing/abstracting from 1970s onward of 1,500 total journals on business conditions, economics, trends, corporate strategies/tactics, management and marketing techniques, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, as well as information on 60,000+ companies.

Abstracts in Social Gerontology

(EBSCO) - includes bibliographic records covering essential areas related to social gerontology, including the psychology of aging, elder abuse, society and the elderly, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline.

AnthroSource

(American Anthropological Association) - is a searchable database of full-text articles from 32 journals, including current issues of 15 peer-reviewed American Anthropological Association publications.

Blackwell Encyclopedia of Sociology, The

(Blackwell Reference Online) - is a leading sociological reference source featuring 1800+ entries written from an international perspective. The encyclopedia includes introductions to sociological theories and research, definitions, explanations of key concepts, and major topics covering both classical and contemporary developments in sociology.

Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information (formerly Business & Company Resource Center).

CBCA Complete (Canadian Business & Current Affairs)

(ProQuest) - Comprehesive coverage of entire Canadian Business & Current Affairs databases. Information is present from all areas including: current events, business, education, science and medicine, arts, law, academia, and lifestyles, all with a Canadian focus. Full text is available within these areas.

CQ Global Researcher

(CQ) - Modeled after CQ Researcher, CQ Global Researcher provides students with reports covering global affairs from a number of international viewpoints. The reports are written by journalists and cover current world issues. NOTE: CQ Global Researcher ceased publication in 2012. As of June 21, 2013 reports previously only available in CQ Global Researcher can now be found in the CQ Researcher database.

CQ Researcher

(CQ) - is a collection of reports on controversial issues of current significance. The reports offer topic overviews and background information, opposing viewpoint essays, and much more. The database contains reports dating back to 1991. NOTE: Beginning on June 21, 2013 access to reports previously only available in CQ Global Researcher have been added to this CQ Researcher database.

CQ Weekly Online

(CQ) - offers weekly analysis of news from Capitol Hill as well as Congressional roll call votes. CQ Weekly claims it is “the choice of 95% of members of Congress.” Nevertheless, its articles are written in lay language and are easily understood by those of us living outside the beltway. The database contains information dating back to 1983.

(EBSCO) - contains comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminal justice and criminology and related disciplines.

EconLit

(EBSCO) - from the American Economic Association, is the world's foremost source of references to economic literature with citations and abstracts to economic research dating back to 1969. It provides comprehensive information on accounting, capital markets, econometrics, economic forecasting, government regulations, labor economics, monetary theory, urban economics and much more. Full text of many economics journals can be accessed in ABI/INFORM Global and J-STOR.

(EBSCO) - offers access to many full-text journal articles as well as full-text ERIC documents available on Department of Education web site. Students and faculty wishing to conduct advanced searches will likely find this version easier to use than the open access version. Users also have access to some full-text journal articles not available through the Department of Education.

Ethnic NewsWatch: A History

(ProQuest) - is an interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive full text database of newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority and native presses. This database contains the retrospective backfile of Ethnic NewsWatch titles with coverage from 1960 through 1989. (Access provided by the MBLC)

(Alexander Street) - brings together over 1,100 anthropological streaming videos. Create clips and playlists that can be used by UMassD classes or study groups. 

Everyday Life & Women in America, c1800-1920

Offers a wealth of primary source material related to women's lives in the US between 1800 and 1920. Searchable images, rare books, pamphlets, periodicals, and broadsides are included. Topics covered include politics, society, race, religion, health, cookery, family life, fashion and beauty, education, work, and farming. Fiction and children's prescriptive literature round out the selections.

Expanded Academic ASAP

(Gale/InfoTRAC) - This database provides citations and full-text access to journals in fields such as astronomy, religion, law, history, psychology, literature, art, sociology, general science, and communications, as well as covering current events.

Global Issues in Context

(GALE) - offers international viewpoints on global issues, topics, and current events.Issue and country portals provide analysis of social, political, military, economic, environmental, health, and culture issues. Each of these gateway pages include an overview, unique "perspectives" articles written by local experts, reference, periodical, primary source and statistical information. Portals include podcasts, video, and interactive graphs.

(GovEngine, Inc. a non-profit organization) - provides organized links to federal, state and local government sites.

GPO Federal Digital System (FDsys)

(US GPO) - covers all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments (Defense, State, Labor, Office of the President, etc.). Subjects covered include finance, business, demographics, agriculture, medicine, public health, and more.

Health and Psychosocial Instruments - HaPI -

(EBSCO) Provides access to information on approximately 15,000 measurement instruments in the fields of health and psychosocial sciences: questionnaires, interview schedules, checklists, coding schemes, rating scales, etc. 

Full-text of the instruments is not included in the database. Information in the database is abstracted from hundreds of leading journals covering health sciences and psychosocial sciences. Additionally, instruments from Industrial/Organizational Behavior and Education are included.
