ACM Digital Library

(Association for Computing Machinery) - Search and find bibliographic information, abstracts, reviews, and full-text for articles published in ACM periodicals and proceedings since 1985, including works published by affiliated organizations.

AGRICOLA

(AGRICultural OnLine Access) - is a machine-readable database of bibliographic records created by the National Agricultural Library and its cooperators.

Applied Science & Technology Index

(EBSCO/Wilson) - Already established processes or already manufactured items-e.g. how to make them run faster, better, cheaper or make something like them. "Covers more than 480 core English-language scientific and technical publications. Topics include engineering, acoustics, chemistry, computers, metallurgy, physics, plastics, telecommunications, transportation, and waste management."

ASFA: Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (Proquest Aquatic Science Collection)

Biosis Previews

(Thomson Reuters) - the world's most comprehensive reference database in the life sciences. It covers original research reports and reviews in biological and biomedical areas.

Chemical Abstracts

SciFinder Scholar® from American Chemical Society, is the search interface to the Chemical Abstracts and MEDLINE databases. It provides subject coverage that includes the chemical aspects of astronomy, biology, education, engineering, economics, geology, history, mathematics, medicine, and physics.

Health and Psychosocial Instruments - HaPI -

(EBSCO) Provides access to information on approximately 15,000 measurement instruments in the fields of health and psychosocial sciences: questionnaires, interview schedules, checklists, coding schemes, rating scales, etc. 

Full-text of the instruments is not included in the database. Information in the database is abstracted from hundreds of leading journals covering health sciences and psychosocial sciences. Additionally, instruments from Industrial/Organizational Behavior and Education are included. 

IEEE Xplore Digital Library

(IEEE) - Electrical and computer engineering- research and development. Search and retrieve full text of IEEE and IEE/IET publications including transactions and proceedings from more than 120 IEEE journals, 900 active IEEE standards, and the proceedings of 400 annual conferences. The majority of the content dates back to 1988; content from select publications back as far as 1950.

INSPEC

(EBSCO) - INSPEC created by the IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology), is the leading bibliographic database providing abstracts and indexing to the world's scientific and technical papers in physics, electrical engineering, electronics, communications, control engineering, computing and information technology. Containing over 7 million records, INSPEC provides coverage from over 3,500 journals, 1,500 conference proceedings as well as numerous books, dissertations and reports.

Inspec Archive – Science Abstracts 1898-1968

(EBSCO) - Inspec Archive – Science Abstracts 1898-1968 created by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, is the leading bibliographic database providing abstracts and indexing to the world's scientific and technical papers in physics, electrical engineering, electronics, and computing and control engineering.

Journal Citation Reports® Science Edition ~ 2009 ONLY ~

(Thomson Reuters) - EXCEL File for 2009 only of the JCR Science Edition contains data from over 7,300 journals in science and technology for the year 2009 ONLY. All of the data that you see for journals and subject categories come from journal data published in 2009. If you search for a particular journal, you will see the 2009 data for that journal, including -- The number of articles published in the journal in 2009, the number of citations to that journal from articles published in 2009, and the Impact Factor calculated from 2009 data, and so on.

JSTOR

A full-text online collection of core scholarly journals from their first issues (some date back to the 1800's) to between two and five years prior to the present. Subject coverage includes arts & sciences, education, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, anthropology, Asian studies, economics, population studies, sociology and botany and ecology. The journals can be browsed by journal issue or searchedby keywords, topics, titles, authors and dates. The journals included in JSTOR are also listed in and linked from the Journals, Magazines & Newspapers in Our Library.

MathSciNet

Mathematical Reviews on the Web (American Mathematical Society) - "provides searching of over 59 years ofMathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications."

Medline

(EBSCO) - MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree numbers, tree hierarchy and explosion capabilities to search abstracts from over 4,600 current biomedical journals.

Oceanic Abstracts

(ProQuest/CSA) - "Focuses exclusively on worldwide technical literature pertaining to the marine and brackish-water environment. It is totally comprehensive in its coverage of living and non-living resources, meteorology and geology, plus environmental, technological, and legislative topics."

POPLINE

(K4Health) POPLINE is a "comprehensive collection of population, family planning and related reproductive health and development literature. An international resource, POPLINE helps program managers, policy makers, and service providers in low- and middle-income countries and in development-supportive agencies and organizations gain access to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished documents".

ProQuest Biology Journals

(ProQuest) provides access to a wide range of biology topics. The database includes just under 400 titles, with more than 325 available in full text. With thousands of articles available online.
