Cambridge Structural Database (CSD)

Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) is a repository of small-molecule organic and metal-organic crystal structures. Containing the results of over half-a-million x-ray and neutron diffraction analyses this is a unique database of accurate 3D structures.  CSD provides a comprehensive and retrospective coverage of the published literature. The CSD is continually updated with new structures and with improvements to existing entries. The CSD System also comprises software for database access, structure visualisation and data analysis, and structural knowledge bases derived from the CSD. General Science Full Text

(EBSCO/Wilson) - General Science provides full text for 100 periodicals from 1994-present, and indexing and abstracts for 300 periodicals back to 1984. Content formats: graphs, charts, diagrams, photos and illustrations. Subjects include biology, botany, chemistry, genetics, physics, environment, zoology.

Health and Psychosocial Instruments - HaPI -

(EBSCO) Provides access to information on approximately 15,000 measurement instruments in the fields of health and psychosocial sciences: questionnaires, interview schedules, checklists, coding schemes, rating scales, etc. 

Full-text of the instruments is not included in the database. Information in the database is abstracted from hundreds of leading journals covering health sciences and psychosocial sciences. Additionally, instruments from Industrial/Organizational Behavior and Education are included. 

IEEE Xplore Digital Library

(IEEE) - Electrical and computer engineering- research and development. Search and retrieve full text of IEEE and IEE/IET publications including transactions and proceedings from more than 120 IEEE journals, 900 active IEEE standards, and the proceedings of 400 annual conferences. The majority of the content dates back to 1988; content from select publications back as far as 1950.

Journal Citation Reports® Science Edition ~ 2010 ONLY ~

(Thomson Reuters) - EXCEL File for 2010 only of the JCR Science Edition contains data from over 7,300 journals in science and technology for the year 2010 ONLY. All of the data that you see for journals and subject categories come from journal data published in 2010. If you search for a particular journal, you will see the 2010 data for that journal, including -- The number of articles published in the journal in 2010, the number of citations to that journal from articles published in 2010, and the Impact Factor calculated from 2010 data, and so on.


A full-text online collection of core scholarly journals from their first issues (some date back to the 1800's) to between two and five years prior to the present. Subject coverage includes arts & sciences, education, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, anthropology, Asian studies, economics, population studies, sociology and botany and ecology. The journals can be browsed by journal issue or searchedby keywords, topics, titles, authors and dates. The journals included in JSTOR are also listed in and linked from the Journals, Magazines & Newspapers in Our Library.

Mathematical Reviews on the Web (American Mathematical Society) - "provides searching of over 59 years ofMathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications."


(EBSCO) - MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree numbers, tree hierarchy and explosion capabilities to search abstracts from over 4,600 current biomedical journals.

National Technical Reports Library (NTRL)

The NTRL provides access to the NTIS (National Technical Information Service) content collection.  It contains over 3 million records with over 800,000 full-text reports. The NTRL is updated each week with newly acquired information and recently digitized existing content. It is a convenient and economical means of accessing the most comprehensive library of federally produced scientific and technical information available. Although NTRL is a publicly accessible database, first time users must register.

Oceanic Abstracts

(ProQuest/CSA) - "Focuses exclusively on worldwide technical literature pertaining to the marine and brackish-water environment. It is totally comprehensive in its coverage of living and non-living resources, meteorology and geology, plus environmental, technological, and legislative topics."


(K4Health) POPLINE is a "comprehensive collection of population, family planning and related reproductive health and development literature. An international resource, POPLINE helps program managers, policy makers, and service providers in low- and middle-income countries and in development-supportive agencies and organizations gain access to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished documents".

ProQuest Biology Journals

(ProQuest) provides access to a wide range of biology topics. The database includes just under 400 titles, with more than 325 available in full text. With thousands of articles available online.

ProQuest Central

(ProQuest) - A multidisciplinary database that covers a broad range of subject areas such as: business and economics; medical and health; news and world affairs; science; education; technology; humanities; social sciences; psychology; literature; law; and, women's studies. Content includes over 19,000 periodical titles as well as thousands of dissertations, newspapers, working papers, case studies, market and industry reports, and videos.
