Electronic Resources in the University Library

The University Library provides access to a number of databases for the use of the University community.

Depending on the focus of your research or the area you are interested in, a number of databases may prove useful. For example, articles about educational issues regarding African-Americans can be located in ERIC. Articles dealing with African-Americans and health issues can be found in databases such as InfoTrac's Health Reference Center or MedlinePlus. Articles dealing with race issues can be located in Expanded Academic or Social Sciences Index. Please consult with a Reference Librarian for assistance in selecting appropriate databases.

Remember that one of the best tools for finding articles about topics relating to African-Americans is Index to Black Periodicals, which is available only in print .
